Wynocon and Bincs Yard Training, covid 19 lockdown, Part 2
Wynocon and Bincs Yard Training, covid 19 lockdown, Part 1, as promised, alittle more about the IMPI. "Pomeroy has hosted two WFO events and the riders were introduced to our back yard. We (Craig and Willem) dreamt about hosting our own event in the areas that we have come to enjoy riding through. In 2014 this became reality and we thank our family and friends that helped us to achieve this. Our timing is perfect as the Impi takes place in mid-October, being a perfect event to test your skills and fitness just before the Roof of Africa. 2014 We experienced 192 entries marking the birth of the Impi event. Blood, sweat and tears were experienced during 2014 as some might have thought it was a fun ride but, instead were introduced to some extreme sections and awesome riding terrain. The bar was set!! 2015 We had 248 riders entering proving that the event was taking shape. Riders as far as Germany, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana and all over South Africa entered our event. The route was improved with Gold being a lot more technical. What an event to be part of! 2016 Entries were capped at 400. These entries were filled with in 2 weeks. Riders as far as Germany, England, Swaziland, Namibia, Austria, Lesotho and Botswana took part in IMPI 2016. 2017 JUNE Entries were capped at 600 and were full within 6.5hours of them opening on the website. Again we had riders from all over the world coming to test their skills." The Lockdown As you can see is that nothing will stop Wynocon and Bincs from training, not even a national lockdown from covid 19.
